Software Applications Engineer
SKILLS: C, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML5, SQL, XML, with Cross-Platform Knowledge of Android, iOS, Windows (DirectShow, Windows Media Foundation). Knowledge of working cross platform & integration with databases, threading, IPC, etc.
DESCRIPTION: We’re looking for an experienced Software Applications Engineer to join our team tasked with developing our video engine and media player applications and delivering them across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess the skills above and will have experience working with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- At least four years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and with a team

Web Services Engineer
POSITION: Web Services / Cloud Engineer
SKILLS: Deep experience with Web Services technology including writing production web services powering consumer-facing Android, iOS & Windows applications. Additional experience with common Internet technologies (HTTP, DNS, TCP, UDP, JavaScript, AJAX)
DESCRIPTION: We’re looking for an experienced Web Services / Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for both architecting and implementing Niveus’ cloud strategy including how our TV Everywhere solutions interact at a Web Services level. Must have experience in launching, deploying application services in a cloud-based environment; application hosting, web hosting, databases, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- At least four years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Track record of building and delivering mission critical, 24×7 production software systems
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

We are working with a number of service providers and OEMs so this is a great opportunity to work with an emerging mainstream technology and play an important role in its success. We’re looking for an engineer with experience in test automation, writing scripts, and automating the bug discovery process. We’re looking for candidates that care about quality and will manage the product life cycle from a quality perspective.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft’s UI Automation or past automation technologies
- Knowledge of popular bug tracking tools and related experience
